Celebrating 4R’s: Refuse, Reduce, Re-Use and Recycle

In the wake of Go Green Drive at Seth Anandram Jaipuria School, Barra, Kanpur on 22nd April 2024, The World Earth Day was observed.

A special assembly was conducted with a plethora of activities.

Principal, Mrs. Parul Bhargava demonstrated how the 4 R’s (refuse, reduce, reuse, and recycle) is a great way to emphasize environmental sustainability. She expressed that the colour Green symbolizes growth, harmony, and nature, which align perfectly with the principles of minimizing waste and conserving resources. Celebrating these practices not only benefits the environment but also promotes a more mindful and responsible lifestyle for individuals and communities.

Jaipurians @ Barra Campus dressed in green with a notion Planet v/s Plastic. They pledged ‘Say No to Polythene Bags’ and participated in a drawing competition with the theme ‘Let’s conserve our planet’ to explore their creativity and imagination with the help of colours. Classes were divided into three groups A (pre-primary classes), B (classes 1,2 & 3) & C (classes 4, 5 & 6), respectively.


In Group A, winners were Tanuja of L.KG -1st, Sultan of U.KG- 2nd, Anshdeep of U.KG -3rd.
In Group B, winners were Aarna of Class I – 1st, Divyansh of Class II- 2nd, Aryaman of Class II-2nd.
In Group C, winners were Archi of Class VI- 1st, Advika of Class IV- 2nd, Arya of Class VI- 3rd.

Celebrating the Green Feast, students had green fruits and green leafy vegetables in their tiffin followed by the dance on Colour Green Song; reinforcing colour Green. Also had a plantation activity to spark interest in Gardening and a Nature walk.

Teachers delivered heartwarming messages and the special assembly was culminated with an enthralling and invigorating Nukkad Natak dedicated to our motherland and raised the emotional quotient to sustain the spirit for the years to come.
